Raspberry Sauce
This recipe is very tangy and very fresh tasting. Because it isn't cooked, it must be used within a few days. It was what we used first in the tearoom before going with the Field Berry Sauce.
- 3/4 cup frozen raspberries
- 3/4 cup Apple Juice or until the berries float
- 3 tbsp icing sugar.
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon and sugar sprinkles (1/2 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon)
- Put berries and apple juice into a glass measuring cup.
- Microwave for about 1 minute or until berries are just thawed.
- Add icing sugar and lemon.
- Mix with a fork until the sugar is just dissolved in the measuring cup.
- Refrigerate.
