Foreword (2020)

It's been ten years since the publishing of the original Tea Room Tales and Tidbits. Hard to believe. Sometimes it feels like yesterday… and then again, it feels like a million years ago. Walking down memory lane with my husband while putting together the eBook version has been yet another learning experience. We found ourselves saying things like how did we miss this recipe? and are you sure we didn't take more photos? Oddly, while doing this version, we realized that we didn't own a digital camera never mind a cell phone at that time. It is so much easier to record recipes with digital images. Technology has allowed us to record and share more photos than what could be afforded in the paperback.

Tea Room Tales and Tidbits eBook has more recipes, more corrections (gasp! realizing how much we missed), and more information. We hope you enjoy the walk down memory lane and, of course, creating in the kitchen. Our path since then has taken us to creating household items using reclaimed wood and tin from our old farmhouse as well as many other crafts such as sewing, weaving, blacksmithing, and live edge items such as boxes and stools. Tea blending is still a passion and we are a top seller at markets and craft shows. We are looking forward to a future of market life and creating together.

Notes

The original Tea Room Tales & Tidbits was published and printed in May 2010 and was 186 pages long. There were three printings of the book, the last being in September 2011. The last printed copy was sold in 2018. It has taken a bit of time to reformat the book in this electronic version which has been published in 2020. More recipes and photos have been added, and a few corrections made.
